The Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) of Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 6 (CHED RO6) made a program monitoring and validation on the five programs of ISAT U Dumangas Campus, March 2, 2023.

The RQAT was headed by Dr. Alan P. Lena. With him were Mr. Efren S. Sucaldito, Dr. Rosslin John Robles, Ms. Maria Karen Catalina Zaldivar, Dr. Danebeth Narzoles, and Dr. Roxanne Edrosolano.

Program under evaluation were Bachelor of Science in Information Technology; Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Management; Bachelor of Industrial Technology, with majors in Architectural Drafting, Automotive, Electronics and Electrical Technology; Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship; and Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education with majors in Food Service Management, Computer Hardware Servicing, Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, and Automotive Technology.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ramil Lumauag, Campus Administrator, wished that the visit would be a productive one and the result of it would be beneficial to the SUC Leveling of the university.

Moreover, Dr. Sucaldito emphasized that their presence as RQAT is to help identify and bridge the gap that are existing in the programs offered by the university. Moreover, he added that they came as partners in the development the program offerings in the higher education.

“Our visit here was inspired by the desire to help the university especially in its wish to become SUC Level 4,” Dr. Sucaldito continued.

After the opening program, the team proceeded to the evaluation of documents while other members chose to start in evaluating the laboratory rooms, library, offices, and other facilities and equipment needed in the delivery of the program offerings.

During the report of evaluation, the RQAT members made some positive remarks and commendations to some practices and improvements of the buildings and the facilities of the university; however, the team reported that were areas that need to be improved in the delivery of the services of the programs in accordance to the mandate of the CHED for each program.

In his closing statement, Mr. Eric de la Vega, Head of Instruction of the university, accepted the challenge given by the RQAT for the improvement of the university and to even raise its quality and standard.

The monitoring and validation result of this visit will be officially released by the CHED RO6 after a month upon the verification and approval of its regional director.
